Hey so I was wondering something, I'd like to post a few drawing videos on Youtube again and thought that Procaster would be nice to record with, instead of finding another video-recording program with a good quality which is pretty rare. But, Procaster saves your recordings as a .mp4 file, and as far as I know you can't make this programm save your video as a .wmv file or anything else.
BUT, all the video-making programms I know (aka Sony Vegas and Windows Movie Maker) do not read .mp4 files. So I was wondering if you know any video-making programm that does read .mp4 files, or if it's possible for Procaster to save your recordings as a .wmv file or anything else? Or is it just not possible and I should find some other recording programm?
Sorry if this is confusing lol, my explaination skills are legendary..xD
(I know that you propably solved the problem but I wanna to help as much as I can
but all i could really suggest is converting your clips online if they're not too long, or just use camstudio, because your speedpaints you have up from years ago were good enough quality XD
it sends it to your e-mail, so it takes a bit of waiting, but it works
Try Camtasia Studio.
I use it a lot, has a lot of different file choices, high quality everything. But you gotta buy it (or torrent it). I have never used Procaster before, but maybe it's also a nice program to use. I just think Camtasia is the best choice because of its quality and flexibility.
I allways thought that you could edit Mp4 files in Sony Vegas. But i checked just to be sure and i can use Mp4 files without a problem.
I use Sony Vegas Pro10 right now so maby you have an older version that can't use it?
I think that it's the same that i downloaded but im not a 100% sure so be careful, i wouldn't want to give you a virus or anything :/
