This was made during the Livestream from the other day, just felt like submitting it today :XD: Nothing special, this was made in like, 10 minutes?

I downloaded the grass brushes from ~Project-GimpBC I used to draw with long ago, I sure missed using them <3
Enjoy ~

Ffff I feel so tired today.

Do you have any tutorial or tip of how to make these cool backgrounds of yours?

Download grass brushes and install them. Then start from the back area and work your way to the foreground. Starting from the back and working forward will assure that the foreground will be drawn over what's behind it. It's a little bit easier when drawing grass, since you are using brushes. But trees, bushes, and the likes take a little more time. A little tip from me, just imagine what you want the landscape to look like. Play with colors on a separate layer to get the right colors you want.

Shrimp, I downloaded brushes fom Project-GimpBC, but I don't know hwo to get them onto Gimp, or actually use them....
Could you perhaps give a little explaination for me?

I've used Gimp before switching to Photoshop, so I might be able to help ;)

Once you have downloaded your brushes, go to the Programs folder (I'm using mac now so I don't remember the names of the folders. It should be either Applications or Programs under Win XP). You should have all your installed programs folders in there, search for the Gimp folder. It will have the name of your Gimp version (for example, Gimp 2.6).
Once you're there, search for the "brushes" folder. Copy your downloaded brushes there, and once you re-open Gimp you should find them ready to be used ;D

I don't know exactly how it will be in your computer but in mine yiu go to C:/program archieves/gimp2.0/share/gimp/2.0/brushes then you copy and paste the brushes here and when you open up gimp the brushes will be there, at least it worked for me^^
Hope it helped

LOL, thanks, I couldn't figure it out, but Imma try this when I get home. Maybe I'll finally get those brushes installed and be able to use them~

Just 1 more thing, will the extra brushes I add be in the top left with all the other brushes, or will they be somewhere serate? (Where will I be able to find the brushes when they're installed?)

in my case they apper in alphabetical order, for example I have brushes of "stars", so they begin with S so they appear almost at the bottom of the brushes dialog.

I always thought using pattern brushes makes picture look more or less monotone or flat...you just proved me wrong. That's a beautiful looking background. I like the fact that you're not afraid of submitting whatever comes to your mind, unlike me =)
